GenoSource's Future Breeder Program

We're thrilled to introduce GenoSource’s Future Breeder Program, an initiative to create meaningful, life-changing opportunities for participants in the World Dairy Expo Showmanship and Fitting Contests. We’re so appreciative of World Dairy Expo for allowing us to launch a new program that allows GenoSource to invest in the next generation of dairy leaders! 

Showmanship and fitting contests build confidence, skill, and character. This program takes that foundation even further through GenoSource’s Future Breeder Program, which empowers youth to make a long‑term commitment to breeding and herd development. Participants gain hands‑on experience in reproduction, genomics, and herd management, giving them practical tools and knowledge that support their growth as future leaders in the industry.

So how does it work?

🧬 GenoSource will have 5 embryo packages ready to be shipped, each package has 3 embryos 

🧬 From each division’s Top 10 finalists, one recipient will be randomly selected to be awarded the embryo package

🧬 Showmanship: 3 packages awarded across Junior, Intermediate & Senior divisions

🧬 Fitting: 2 packages awarded across Intermediate & Senior divisions (combined top 5 of each gender contest)

Each Top 10 finalist in every Showmanship division and each Top 5 finalist in every Fitting division will receive a certificate during the finals of the contest. Each finalist must bring their completed certificate to the GenoSource string in Pavillion 1 at World Dairy Expo to redeem the certificate and receive their GenoSource branded jacket.

GenoSource will draw one winner from each division on the morning of the Holstein cow show, will announce the results on Facebook, and will contact the winners directly. GenoSource will also coordinate all logistics for each embryo package. 

The Future Breeder Program ensures that tomorrow’s dairy breeders are given more than recognition; they’re given a real opportunity to build their future! We look forward to the 2026 World Dairy Expo and supporting the youth in a new way!
